Iftaar Dinner Party at FBGT

The month of Ramadan is here the most blessed time of the year.  This month we decided to arrange an Iftaar Dinner which was obvious at Fareeda Bashir gharana trust. Along with the Iftaar Dinner we decided that we should collect donations for the Eid clothes too for the children living there. After collecting the donations we started deciding the menu for the dinner which was the first thing on the list. So, we decided to have * drumroll* Chicken biryani with some basics of Iftaar Dates Pakoras and samosas and Oh How can we forget. Rooh Afzah! Sounds perfect to me. We made sure the food was on point and healthy. The day of our Iftaar dinner was a chaos because we had to rush packing the food and make sure is fresh and warm.  We bought coloring books and crayons wrapped them up in gift paper and attached Eid wishes with some ribbons for very child there as an Eid present. We reached FBGT around 6:00 pm an hour before the azaan. After meeting everyone and the introductions we started setting up the dastarkhwan everyone sat and patiently waited for the Azaan. Before the Azaan everyone made Dua and it was so beautiful to see tiny hands up for prayer. Then final we heard the azaan and everyone started to have dinner. After that everyone performed namaz and right after that we had a bonding session in which like our last visit the kids entertained us by reading poems, naats and reciting beautiful Ayats from the Holy Quran. We were able to gather a handsome amount of donations which we gave to the owner so that she could buy clothes for the children according to their sizes. We distributed the Eid presents and kids absolutely loved them they opened them and started coloring and our volunteers helped them and got to know them better. Where ever we go we always try to form a relationship with the people/children there. So that the next time we see them they recognize us. The children of FBGT are absolute sweethearts with perfects manners. They have a special place in my heart and every time I visit them it feels like family. Then it was time to say our goodbyes and like always no body wanted to leave but you know there's always a next time. Can't wait to see the pretty little angels again. <3
